शॉर्टकट्स (Shortcuts)

      

       कमाल का शब्द है, शॉर्टकट।। इस शब्द की खासियत तो ये है कि, इसका हिंदी में भाव 'छोटा रास्ता' या 'संक्षिप्त रूप' से लिखने के बजाय शॉर्टकट लिखना अधिक आरामदायक और संतोषजनक लगता है, क्योंकि हमें भी शायद शॉर्टकट में जीना अच्छा लग रहा है। 

वैसे शॉर्टकट को अगर हम सुविधाजनक कहें तो भी कुछ गलत नहीं है, क्योंकि सारे शॉर्टकट तो हम अपनी सुविधा के लिए ही करते है, जैसे शहर को जाने के लिए बायपास वाली सड़क का शॉर्टकट, कुछ के लिए नाश्ता और लंच छोड़कर सिर्फ ब्रंच (नाश्ता और दिन के भोजन के बीच खाया जाने वाला आहार) खाने वाला शॉर्टकट, जाम से बचने के लिए गली मोहल्लों में घूमकर घर पहुँचने वाला शॉर्टकट, गर्मियों में ग्लास छोड़कर सीधा बोतल से पानी पीने का शॉर्टकट, सर्दियों की कड़कड़ाती ठंड में पानी के छींटे से नहाने का शॉर्टकट, प्रश्न भी शॉर्टकट तो उत्तर भी शॉर्टकट, वजन बढ़ाने और घटाने का शॉर्टकट। अब तो मोबाइल के चैट के लिए भी इमोजी वाला शॉर्टकट।। क्या है ये शॉर्टकट,?? सुविधा या कौशल या काम का नया तरीका या समय बचाने की कला! 

    अब चाहे शॉर्टकट को आप आपनी सुविधा माने या अपना कौशल। लेकिन एक बात तो है कि ये शॉर्टकट से समय की भी बचत होती है। अब आप अपना समय बचाने के लिए शॉर्टकट अपनाते हैं या तमाम झंझटों से बचने के लिए इस तकनीक का प्रयोग करते हैं? इसका उत्तर तो आप स्वयं ही दे सकते हैं। 

     एक गीत याद आ रहा है 'अब तो आदत सी है मुझको ऐसे जीने में', हाँ! ये गीत तो जैसे हमारी शॉर्टकट वाली जिंदगी में 'फिट' बैठती है। आप तो यही माने की शॉर्टकट तो आदत में शामिल हो गया है। बस कुछ में ये आदत एक सीमा तक है और कुछ में ये लत बन चुकी है। शॉर्टकट का रूप समय को छोटा या बचत तो कर देता है, लेकिन कभी कभी ये शॉर्टकट, समय की बचत के साथ -साथ हमारे सोचने और काम करने की शक्ति की भी बचत कर देता है। 

   हर किसी को जल्दी है, हर कोई आगे जाने के लिए दौड़ रहा है, भाग रहा है आगे पहुँचने के लिए। यहाँ तक की इस दौड़ में तो अब बच्चों को भी उतार दिया है और सिखाया भी जा रहा है कि अन्य बच्चों से आगे बढ़ने का शॉर्टकट। कितने ही लेख और वीडियो बन गए हैं जिनमें सिर्फ बच्चों को पढ़ाने का शॉर्टकट बताया जा रहा है। अंग्रेज़ी के अल्फाबेट सीखने का शॉर्टकट, हिंदी की वर्णमाला सीखने का शॉर्टकट, ट्रिग्नोमैट्री मैथ सीखने का शॉर्टकट, विज्ञान के सूत्र सीखने का शॉर्टकट और कभी जोड़ करने का भी शॉर्टकट तरीका तो कहीं गुणा और भाग करने का शॉर्टकट मंत्र और न जानें कितने ऐसे शॉर्टकट की व्याख्या बताई जा रही है कि बच्चा इन शॉर्टकट में ही उलझ जाता है।

     कभी आप इन शॉर्टकट की विधियाँ, तरीके और मंत्र को पढ़े या देखें, इन्हे देख कर आपको शुरू में तो रोमांच आयेगा लेकिन कुछ क्षण के बाद में आप स्वयं इसे भ्रमित और एक उलझन भरा पाएंगे। आपको ऐसा अनुभव होगा कि आपने जो कुछ भी से एक निश्चित तरीके या क्रम से सीखा था वह विधि अधिक उपयोगी है। आपको लगेगा कि गुणा और जोड़ का शॉर्टकट तरीका अपनाते-अपनाते बहुत कुछ गड़बड़ा गया हो और उलझने अलग से मिल गई हों। सीधा-सीधा हिसाब क्यों नहीं सिखाया जाता, पहाड़ा और गुणा भाग सीखने सिखाने के बजाय अंको का हेर फेर करके उसे शॉर्टकट का रूप देना,क्या आपको भी उचित लगता है?? अंक पहाड़ों का कंठस्थ होना गुणा-भाग को कितना आसान कर देता है, ये तो आपको भी पता ही है। चलिए, मान लेते हैं कि आजकल के प्रतिस्पर्धा के दौर में ये शॉर्टकट शायद बहुत से बच्चों को 'smart kid' की श्रेणी में ले आता है। परंतु क्या व्याख्या, विश्लेषण करने की क्षमता इस शॉर्टकट से सिखाई जा सकती है। ऐसा लगता है जैसे कि हम बच्चों को बुद्धिमान के बजाय उन्हें चतुर और चालाक बनाने में जोर दे रहे हैं। 

      क्या आपको याद है कि, पहले कुंजी आती थी, जिसे गाइड भी बोलते थे, वो क्या था?? आप कहेंगें वो भी तो एक तरीके का शॉर्टकट ही था। लेकिन सोचा जाए तो कुंजी या गाइड तो एक सार था, पूरी किताब का। एक छोटे से गुटके के अंदर पूरी किताब का ज्ञान समेटती थी एक छोटी सी कुंजी। 

     वैसे तो शॉर्टकट अपनाने में कोई बुराई नहीं है, क्योंकि इसका सबसे बड़ा फायदा तो समय की बचत है। किसी काम को करने में अगर घंटों लगते है तो यही शॉर्टकट मिनटों में निपटारा कर देता है। जैसे सड़कों के लंबे- लंबे जाम से बचने के लिए लोग गली मोहल्ले का सहारा लेना। रसोई में झटपट खाना बनाने के लिए, सब्जी भाजी काटने के लिए, दाल मसाले पीसने के लिए चॉपर, मिक्सी, ग्राइंडर का उपयोग, समय बचाने की एक तकनीक ही है। ये मशीन भी तो हमारी सुविधा के लिए हैं और इनसे समय की बचत भी है। अदरक लहसून का पेस्ट, दालों की पिठ्ठी, कटी कटाई फ्रोजन सब्जी, सब्जी तरकारी के बने बनाय पैकेट ये भी तो सुविधा के नाम पर शायद खाना बनाने के शॉर्टकट ही हैं। 

      अब ये वाले शॉर्टकट की कीमत उनसे पूछे जो लोग अपने ऑफिस के काम में इतने व्यस्त होते हैं जिन्हे खाना बनाने का बिल्कुल भी समय नहीं मिल पाता। उन कामकाजी महिलाओं के लिए भी ये एक सहायक के रूप (helping hand) में हैं जो दिन भर बाहर काम करती हैं और रात को अपनी रसोई में। लेकिन क्या यही शॉर्ट कट आपकी माँ, दादी या नानी को भाते होंगें?? मुझे तो लगता है कि नहीं। क्योंकि उन्हे तो संतोष तभी मिलता है जब उन्होंने सब्जी- भाजी सब अपने हाथों से धो के काटी हो, अदरक की बारीक कलियां भी तस्सली से साफ करी हों, अदरक को ओखली में ढंग से कूटा हो और प्याज टमाटर का मसाला खूब भूनकर और समय लगाकर तरकारी बनाई हो। अब किसी भी कार्य का और उसको करने का तरीका हर किसी के लिए अलग-अलग होता है। कोई उसी काम को अपनी खुशी और संतुष्टि के लिए करता है तो कोई उसे समय की बचत समझ कर सिर्फ अपनी दिनचर्या की एक खानापूर्ति समझता है। हर किसी के शौक और इच्छायें भी भिन्न भिन्न हैं तो शॉर्टकट अपनाने की तकनीक और कारण भी। इसीलिए अब ये शॉर्ट कट किसी की मजबूरी है तो किसी की ताकत। 

   

   हमनें अपनी जिंदगी में शॉर्ट कट को इस तरीके से शामिल कर लिया है कि अपने ही लोगों से मिलना जुलना भी शॉर्टकट में हो गया है। जैसे पहले लोग एक दूसरे से मिलने जाते थे, हाल-चाल पूछते थे, खत-अंतरदेशीय भेजते थे। अब संदेश तो भेज रहे हैं, वो भी नई प्रणाली और तकनीक के साथ। पहले लोग आपस में मिलकर बधाई देते थे, फिर फोन से बात करके बधाई शुरू हुई और उसके बाद थोड़ी और तकनीकी सुविधा ली गई। फिर क्या था,, कलम छूटा और संदेश टाइप होने लगे। अब हाल ये है कि संदेश और बधाई दोनों सिर्फ एक इमोजी पर सिमट कर रह गए है। यानी की आधुनिक तकनीक के सहारे आप बहुतों से जुड़े तो हैं लेकिन संपर्क में नहीं। चलिए फिर से यह भी मान लेते हैं कि कम से कम इस शॉर्टकट में भी कुछ तो संयोजकता (connectivity) हम सबके बीच बनी हुई है। आप खुश हैं, दुखी हैं, किसी के साथ हैं, खेल कूद में हैं, पढ़ रहे हैं, सो रहे हैं, नाच रहे हैं, खा रहे हैं, कहीं जा रहे हैं, सब कुछ को आप सिर्फ एक छोटे से आईकॉन् (icon or emoticon) से ही समझा सकते हैं। वैसे तो आप भी ये मान लीजिये कि ये वाला शॉर्टकट भी तो अवाचिक संचार (non verbal communication) ही है जो संदेश के साथ साथ रोमांच भी देता है। 

     बहुतों के लिए शॉर्टकट एक कला भी है। जिस कला को हर कोई सफलता से प्राप्त भी नहीं कर सकता। शॉर्टकट अपनाते और सीखते हुए भी कई बार समय लग जाता है। जैसे अपने जीवन में सफलता पाने का शॉर्टकट। इस कला को प्रयोग कर-करके लोग शॉर्टकट लेनें में तो निपुण हो जाते हैं लेकिन सफल नहीं हो पाते। अब कितना समझाया या बताया जाय कि सफलता पाने का कोई शॉर्टकट नहीं है। फिर भी उसी शॉर्ट कट के पीछे भागते रहते हैं।

   सफलता पाने के लिए आपको कठिन मेहनत के साथ एक लगन भी जरूरी है। बिना पहले पायदान पर कदम रखे, कोई ऊपर नहीं चढ़ सकता। ये मान लीजिये कि जब नींव पक्की होगी तभी उस पर कोई मजबूत इमारत टिक सकेगी। इन शॉर्ट कट, मंत्र, टिप्स से सिर्फ क्षणिक सुख मिलता है, सफलता नहीं। इसीलिए आपको जहाँ जिस शॉर्टकट की आवश्यकता होती है, वहाँ उसे उपयोग करें बस ध्यान यही रखें कि किस रास्ते का शॉर्टकट आपको आगे किस तरह का परिणाम देगा जो आलस और स्वार्थ से भी परे हो।

By the way, if we call shortcuts as convenient way of living then there is nothing wrong, because we do all shortcuts for our convenience, like shortcut off the bypass road to go to the city, just take brunch ( Breakfast and a meal eaten between day meals) only while skipping breakfast and lunch, shortcuts to a ride from conjusted streets to avoid jams, we take shortcuts to drink water straight from the fridge in summer, just to splash in face to the winter and avoid Bathing, shortcuts to questions and shortcuts to answers, shortcuts to gain weight or loss. now even emoji are also the shortcuts to mobile chat. What is this shortcut ? Facility or skill or new way of work or art of saving time!

    Now whether you consider shortcuts as your convenience or your skill. But one thing is that these shortcuts also save time. Now, do you use shortcuts to save your time or you use this technique to avoid all the hassles? You can answer this yourself.

     'Ab to aadat se hai mujhko aise jeene main' ( an Indian song) you believe that the shortcut has joined the habit. In some, this habit is up to a limit, and in some, it has become addiction. The form of shortcuts can shorten or save time, but sometimes these shortcuts save time as well as our thinking and working power too.

   Everyone is in a hurry, everyone is chasing success and running so fast to reach his destination. Even in this race, now the children have been also part of this race and they are also being taught to take the shortcut. How many articles and videos have been made to learn only shortcuts. English alphabet learning shortcut, Hindi alphabet learning shortcut, trigonometry math learning shortcut, science formula learning shortcut and sometimes shortcut way to addition and subtraction, so how to multiply and divide all shortcut methods and mantras are available now. 

     Sometimes you read or see the methods, and mantras of these shortcuts, you will be thrilled to see them initially, but after a few moments, you will find yourself confused. You will feel that the method is more useful when you learned in your time as you learned in a certain way or sequence. You will feel that while adopting the shortcut method of multiplication and addition, a lot of things have gone wrong and the complications have got mixed up. But will this shortcut be acceptable to your mother, grandmother, or grandmother ?? I don't think so.      Shortcuts are also art for many. The art which not everyone can achieve with success. Many times takes time even while taking and learning shortcuts. Like a shortcut to success in your life. By using this art, people become proficient in taking shortcut lane but are not able to succeed. Now how much can be explained or told that there is no shortcut to success? Still keep running after the same shortcut.

   To achieve success, you need to work hard with dedication. Without stepping on the first rung, one cannot climb up. You need a strong foundation for a strong building. These short cuts, mantras, tips provide only momentary happiness, not a success. Therefore, use the shortcut where you need it, just keep in mind that the path of the shortcut which you choose should be beyond laziness and selfishness.
